Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly through our forms:

• Families (care request / contact): name, phone, email, location/area, the service you need, preferred start date and any details you share.
• Care professionals (Join application): name, date of birth, phone, email, location, service category, years of experience, a short bio, a portfolio photo and a government photo-ID document.
• Automatically: basic technical data (e.g. browser type) and your saved language preference (English/Bengali).

2. How we use it

• To match families with suitable, verified care professionals and coordinate placements.
• To verify the identity and references of care professionals before approval.
• To respond to enquiries, provide support and manage your service.
• To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

3. ID documents & photos

Identity documents (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport or Driving Licence) submitted by care professionals are used solely for internal verification and are handled in strict confidence. ID documents are never displayed publicly. If you are approved, only your first name, portfolio photo, experience and service category appear on your public profile card. Where a Client requests it, we may share a copy of a placed professional’s Aadhaar with that Client for their own records, as described in our Terms & Conditions.

4. Service providers we use

Our website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. We use a small number of trusted third parties to operate it:

• Formspree — receives and delivers form submissions (including uploaded photos and ID documents) to us by email. Your data passes through Formspree’s systems subject to their privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-friendly “human verification” check on our forms to block spam and bots.
• Google Fonts — serves the website fonts.

These providers process data on our behalf or under their own terms; we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

5. Cookies & local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We store a single preference in your browser’s local storage (cc_lang) to remember whether you prefer English or Bengali. Third-party scripts above may set their own cookies necessary for their function (e.g. Turnstile).

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — to provide and support placements, meet legal/record-keeping requirements, and resolve disputes. Verification documents are retained for the period necessary to operate the service and are then securely deleted. You may request earlier deletion (see your rights below).

7. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only: (a) with the service providers listed above; (b) with a Client/CareCrew to the extent needed to arrange a placement; (c) where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

8. Your rights & choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent for future processing. To exercise these, email hello@yourcarecrew.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children’s data

Our services involve the care of children, but our website is intended for use by adults (parents, guardians and care professionals). We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through this website. Information about a child is provided by their parent/guardian as part of a care request.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including limiting access to verification documents to authorised staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of any material issue affecting it.
